About one year ago, the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution opened and received its first inmates, which our community received with a wide array of attitudes.

Eight volunteers from the Torrington Volunteer Fire Department participated in training classes this past weekend at the Wyoming State Fire Academy in Riverton. Over the course of Saturday and a half-day on Sunday, volunteers practiced fire tactics, arsenal investigation and advance automobile extraction.
